It all started with Chris (Owner) at a young age helping his dad whom is also a contractor in the Central/Upstate New York area. He was always around construction and lending a hand or helping with projects around the house.

Later on he would join the crew after school and during the summer months. Following high school, Chris took on a full time position and fit right in. But, Chris wanted to do this year round and with NY winters, it made it hard. That’s when Chris decided to move South! Chris took a job as a project manager for a national company doing disaster relief and was later offered a job as a project manager for a high end custom home builder which helped him stay get off the road and be closer to his kids.

While working there he did a lot of high end trim and timber work after hours and weekends. He was quickly building a name for his quality and craftsmanship which led to taking on many side jobs. That’s when Chris had the vision and decided to take the leap of faith… “Gantter Built” was born! With all the high end carpentry homes, buildings, and specialty barns, “Gantter Built” was growing fast! But there was one problem, Chris didn’t like sub contracting trades because it was hard to control the quality level he demanded for his Customers.

Chris once again, saw the vision and expanded! “Gantter Built” soon became “CR Consturction & Grading”! They quickly began offering land clearing and grading for the first year and couldn’t keep up with the demand anymore. With the great clientele and expansion of his team, Chris began hiring some of the best people in the business to join the team and expanded Grading. Chris and his crew are now knows for their quality, attention to detail, and their customer service and satisfaction! They’re not done until you’re 100% happy and signed off on it!
